Services & Coverage in Olympia, WA

Olympia’s character is written in water. Perched at the southern tip of Puget Sound where the Deschutes River meets Capitol Lake, our capital city blends historic charm with the deep, damp woods of the Pacific Northwest. That famous marine layer and steady rainfall do more than keep the city lush—they create prime conditions for pests that thrive on moisture. From silverfish and springtails slipping through foundation cracks to carpenter ants excavating wood softened by winter storms, local homes face steady pressure. Even downtown’s classic storefronts and the quiet residential pockets near the westside co-ops deal with a seasonal rhythm of intruders searching for dry shelter and steady food sources.

Living here means embracing a connection to both the water and the woods. Black-tailed deer wander through neighborhoods, and with them come deer ticks capable of carrying Lyme disease. Meanwhile, the same dense tree canopy that gives the South Capitol neighborhood its charm also harbors roof rats, which find their way into attics and crawl spaces when temperatures drop. Because Olympia sits at a convergence of tidal flats, freshwater lakes, and deep green forest, the pest population is unusually diverse—and persistent. A single unchecked moisture issue can invite everything from pill bugs to mold-feeding booklice, making vigilant prevention a part of responsible homeownership here.

As your neighbors and fellow Olympians, we understand that protecting your home here demands more than a generic spray schedule. It requires knowing how the Nisqually Delta influences rodent migration, why our specific soil composition drives pavement ants toward your kitchen, and exactly when paper wasps will start building nests under the eaves of craftsman-style porches. We build every treatment plan around the reality of life on the Sound—keeping your family safe while respecting the delicate local ecosystem that makes our community unique.
